This newsletter will be very short I am afraid-more of a note really – I will make up for it with a bumper April edition! I am writing this on Good Friday, so you may already have gone off on holiday – I know I am about to!
It’s been a monumental month with preparations for the NEC show and a large funding bid to BIS to submit. We achieved both and are very excited about the potential of the bid, please keep everything crossed for us! I would like to thank Richard, Brad & Grant for their ongoing support of the HUB, their input into the show and promotion of the HUB. We will be announcing CPD training with all of them soon!
Special thanks must go to Dave Tooth and in particular Andy Smith for all the time they have dedicated in recent weeks to support the preparation of the funding bid.
After Easter we will be adding to our range of courses, so keep an eye on the Events section of the website, which also includes interesting and new courses from other organisations.
Do you want to get invovled? Then become a member and join us at AGM on the 18th of April. Help shape our future, cos it’s a bright one.
We’d also like to welcome lots of you to the Network Meeting also on the 18th April and kindly hosted by North East College Worcestershire. We are pleased to have Samuel-James Wilson as our Guest Speaker. He has just emerged from the Prince’s Foundation Apprentice-ship scheme and will focus our minds on the issues for the sector at the sharp end. There has been a lot of debate on skills, training and CSCS cards on LinkedIn just recently, so I hope you will come and join the debate. The more noise we make – the more we will be heard! We are also keen to meet with new employers who believe in traditional skills training and want to invest in the sector. We will provide biscuits!
I hope you don’t feel too short-changed this month and have a wonderful Easter Break. Cheers to you all !
