I remodeled my bathroom. I wanted to have a look that would transform the space which was a ugly color of purple and white. Once I decided on what my colors and fixtures would be, I started buying up the more expensive materials and storing them for future use.
I didn’t know how much of certain things I would need but decided that the cost would just be higher to get them if I waited. I wanted an under the sea look with clown fish. I found the tiles that had the fish already on them and it was beautiful. I started buying them up .
They were pretty expensive in my book and they came in different sizes. I was able to build up a store and I figured if anything happened I would have spares to repair with. This proved to be a good decision. I began drawing out how I wanted them placed and what color fish and how many i would need. I was also looking at contractors who could give me good prices for the work.
Things that I could do rather cheaply like replace the toilet and tub I did separately. It took about seven months doing it this way but the finished project was stunning and totally done my way. I will do it this way for next project which will be to expand my kitchen and upgrade outdated materials like laminate and linoleum. Ill have to buy granite countertops and porcelain tile. I am already stock piling expensive crown molding. This is fun and works for my budget.
